Use Coupons! Many retailers and businesses offer specials and discounts through coupons. Watch for coupons on items you use on a regular basis and take advantage of them.
Eat In! You don't have to dine out to spend time with family and friends. Instead, have a barbecue, potluck, game-night event, and prepare your meals at home. The average family meal out costs just over $40.00, but prepared at home is under $10.00.
Movie Rentals vs. Theater going. Renting movies is far less expensive than going to the movie theater and it also creates some quality family time. Plus, concession prices are very high at movie theaters and you eliminate that cost by watching a movie at home. The average cost of a family of four going to movie and getting concessions, $44.00, versus the average cost of a movie rental, $2.99.
Become a member of your local Library. Libraries today have a great selection of magazines, movies, video games, and of course, books. You can completely cut all costs of renting movies and video games by visiting your local library.
Pay your bills on time. Not only will this help your credit score, but you’ll avoid any late fees or penalties that may be incurred.
