More about Prepaid Cards…
Prepaid cards have typically been an invaluable asset for those who haven't yet established a credit history. They have also been one of the primary means of re-establishing credit after a bankruptcy or other financial difficulties that resulted in a poor credit rating. In both cases, they provide the company with a way to cut their risks while offering an option for customers with sub-prime credit ratings.
While every card has its own terms and conditions, prepaid cards require you to deposit funds with the company. They then issue you a card with a limit equal to the amount on deposit. Prepaid cards are very similar to debit cards except they don’t require a checking account.
*See online credit card application for details on the terms and conditions.
